UH women’s basketball team routed by No. 4 Stanford
The Hawaii women’s basketball team hung with No. 4 Stanford for about 10 minutes, but no longer in a 69-42 defeat in the second day of the Jack in the Box Rainbow Wahine Classic.
Chiney Ogwumike, a preseason All-American, led the Cardinal (4-0) with 15 points 17 rebounds. Stanford was coming off an upset victory of top-ranked Baylor the night before.
Freshman Ashleigh Karaitiana led the Rainbow Wahine (1-2) with 14 points.
