Punahou rolls past Mililani in state football semifinal
Punahou quarterback Larry Tuileta passed for 420 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Buffanblu to a 49-19 win over Mililani today in a semifinal game of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Division I Football State Championship at Aloha Stadium.
Punahou sophomore Kanawai Noa caught 11 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown and running back Ryan Tuiasoa scored three touchdowns — two rushing and one receiving — to help the Buffanblu reach the Division I title game for the second straight year.
Mililani quarterback Jarin Morikawa passed for 295 yards and three touchdowns, two going to Erren Jean-Pierre, and the Trojans ended the season at 10-3.
