FedEx Freight rates to increase
FedEx Freight will raise shipping rates by an average of 4.5 percent beginning July 1, the FedEx Corp. subsidiary announced today.
The rate increase applies to eligible FedEx Freight shipments within the United States including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands; between the contiguous U.S. states and Canada, within Canada, between the contiguous U.S. states and Mexico, and within Mexico.
The rate increase applies to shipments covered by the FXF 1000, FXF 501 and other related series base rates. The company’s other changes include absolute minimum charges and so-called accessorial rates and charges.
The fuel surcharge will remain unchanged, the company said.
