Second effort to pull vessel from Kaneohe reef fails
Renewed efforts to pull a 40-foot vessel stuck on a reef in Kaneohe Bay failed today — the second time this week.
State Board of Land and Natural Resources spokeswoman Deborah Ward said the contractor hired to do the removal will probably try again this weekend, depending on weather conditions.
Ward said efforts were made to remove the vessel, Boom Boom, Friday morning during high tide but the boat “didn’t want to come off.”
