Police on Tuesday arrested one of two robbery suspects who were allegedly stealing a 23-year-old man’s vehicle tire and rim Monday.

The car owner and his friends confronted the two men, both 18, who were allegedly stealing the tire and rim 1:20 a.m. Monday in Pearl City.

The first suspect allegedly hit the victim with a dangerous instrument, seriously injuring him, and fled on foot, police said.

The second suspect fled in a white truck and turned himself in at the Pearl City police station. He was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
