Utah man dies from injuries on cruise ship off Big Island
An 87-year-old Utah man died Friday after sustaining a head injury four days earlier aboard a cruise ship off Hawaii island, Honolulu police said.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as James C. Harte of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Harte, who was a passenger, fell and hit his head about 10:30 p.m. Monday, police said. On Thursday, Harte was taken to an Oahu hospital for further treatment. He died about 10:30 p.m. Friday. Police do not suspect foul play.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
