HECO worker in serious condition after electric shock
A Hawaiian Electric Company employee was in serious condition Tuesday after being shocked at a work site, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
The 30-year-old man was injured about 10 a.m. Tuesday near Kinoole Place and Mikalemi Street, the report said.
HECO said in a statement that the worker was performing routine maintenance when he was injured in an electrical accident. He was taken to a hospital and was expected to be released later Tuesday, the statement said.
HECO is investigating the matter.
