Police seek gunman in Waipahu 7-Eleven robbery

5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are asking for the public’s help in finding a gunman who robbed the 7-Eleven at 94-911 Farrington Highway in Waipahu last week.

Police released video and photos of the suspect, who entered the store at about 2:14 a.m. on Dec.16, brandished a handgun, and demanded money.

The suspect is believed to be in his 20s, around 5’6" to 5’8" tall, weighing between 100 to 120 pounds. The video shows him dressed in a green long-sleeve shirt with a gray shirt over his face, white and blue checkered shorts, black baseball cap with "C" logo, white socks, and white Nike shoes.

It’s the second early-morning armed robbery in two days in the area.

A gunman, also wearing a cap, long-sleeve shirt, shorts, white socks and sneakers, held up the Tesoro gas station at 94-1082 Ka Uka Boulevard in Waipio at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

The suspect in that case is believed to be in his 20s, is about 5-feet tall with a slim build. He was also wearing dark shorts and a gray hat with the word "cult" embroidered on the front. He wore white shoes with black laces and white shocks.

Police are not saying if they believe the cases are related.
