Step forward, police tell hit-and-run driver
Police are urging the driver of a car, possibly a green sedan, who fled the scene of a critical pedestrian accident Friday in Kaimuki to come forward.
Lt. Robert Towne of the Vehicular Homicide Section said police have two witnesses to the hit-and-run incident as well as surveillance video.
A 94-year-old man was crossing Waialae Avenue at 5th Avenue when a car reportedly ran a red light and struck him. Police said the man was initially in serious condition, but his condition worsened and his condition had been downgraded to critical.
