Kapalama resident accused of man’s death
Police on Tuesday arrested an 18-year-old Kapalama man suspected of killing a homeless man found unconscious in Chinatown on Dec. 4 with head injuries.
Mamerto "Eddie" Semana, 83, died Thursday.
The Medical Examiner’s Office said Semana died from blunt force injuries to his head.
Police arrested the 18-year-old man Tuesday at his home on suspicion of second-degree murder.
The suspect was arrested Nov. 26 on suspicion of criminal trespassing of a hotel or apartment, according to Judiciary records. He was put on supervised release Nov. 27 and scheduled for jury trial Dec. 18 in Honolulu District Court.
Kapahulu bank suspect is at large
A man in his 30s wearing sunglasses allegedly robbed a Kapahulu bank at about 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said the man entered Territorial Savings and Loan, 1016 Kapahulu Ave., approached the teller and allegedly demanded money. He later fled in an unknown direction. His image was caught on surveillance video.
He is described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 160 to 185 pounds, with a shaven head and wearing a black T-shirt, blue denim shorts, sunglasses and slippers.

Masked robbers strike Kalihi game room
Two masked men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a game room in Kalihi on Tuesday.
Police said two men wearing ski masks entered the Gameroom Warehouse on Bannister Street at 11:40 a.m., approached the cashier and demanded money. The men fled in a vehicle.
The first suspect is 35 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing 175 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a white sports jacket with a hood, long dark pants, dark gloves and shoes.
The second suspect is about the same age, 6 feet tall, weighing 190 to 200 pounds, wearing similar clothing.
