Sea Warriors men win big on hardwood
Malte Ziegenhagen scored a team-high 21 points as Hawaii Pacific wrapped up the HPU Classic with a 102-85 nonconference win over St. Katherine College (San Diego) on Sunday at Pearl Harbor Naval Base.
Justin Long added 15 points, while John Horowitz (13) and Connor Looney (10) reached double figures in points for the Sea Warriors (6-2).
HPU returns to action on New Year’s Day when it faces British Columbia at Blaisdell Arena at 5 p.m.
Rainbow Wahine volleyball banquet set
The Hawaii women’s volleyball program will hold its annual banquet Jan. 20 at the Ala Moana Hotel.
Set for 6 p.m., the Rainbow Wahine banquet’s cost is $55 per person or $550 for a table of 10 before Jan. 10.
The price will go up by $5 for those who register Jan. 11-15.
