Paraglider hurt in crash off Makapuu
A paraglider was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when he crashed into waters off Makapuu.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m.
Lifeguards used a rescue watercraft to retrieve the man and bring him to shore.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, was treated by Emergency Medical Services personnel and transferred to a local trauma center.
