Man accidentally shoots himself in leg
A 25-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the thigh Thursday afternoon with a .40-caliber gun at a Mililani house.
According to Emergency Medical Services, the man was taken in serious but stable condition to a hospital after the 2:56 p.m. call Thursday.
The man was holding the gun when he accidentally shot his thigh. The hollow-point bullet went into his inner thigh and out his outer thigh, leaving a nickel-size entrance wound, according to EMS radio transmissions.
Armed robber hits gas station in Waipahu
Police are trying to find a suspect in a robbery of the Waipahu branch of Tesoro Gas on Farrington Highway early Tuesday morning.
The suspect is described as being 33 years old, standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Police said the man entered the gas station, brandished a gun and demanded money at about 4:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Trio injured in car crash
A man was critically injured and two women were hurt in a one-car crash Wednesday night in Paia, Maui, police said.
A 1999 Pontiac Sunfire was traveling west on Baldwin Avenue at about 9 p.m. when it veered onto one roadway shoulder and then the other, hit a rock wall and rolled down an embankment to Rainbow Park, where it overturned and hit two trees, police said.
A 20-year-old Pukalani man who was sitting in the back seat was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical condition with head injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
A 20-year-old woman in the front passenger seat was flown to a Honolulu hospital. Her condition was not disclosed. The driver, a 20-year-old woman, was treated at Maui Memorial and released. Both women were using seat belts.
