With the Linq now in full operation, work has begun on the Strip’s second outdoor project. Next up will be The Park, being built between and around New York-New York and the Monte Carlo. The Park will feature natural landscaping, including 75 mature trees, desert plants, cobblestone walkways and several water features, plus man-made shade-providing structures that will light up at night. The pedestrianized urban outdoor space will also have live entertainment, bench seating throughout and an array of shopping and dining options, including the much-anticipated Hershey’s Chocolate World anchor tenant that’s set to open sometime this month.

The rest of the $100 million renovation will begin appearing this year, culminating in the opening of the new joint-venture 20,000-seat arena project from MGM Mirage International and AEG in 2016.

Center-Strip shopping: Construction is underway on the Grand Bazaar, the shopping mall in the space fronting Bally’s. Completion is scheduled for later this year.

Holly’s Place: Holly Madison’s 1923 Bourbon & Burlesque has opened at Mandalay Bay. The club is designed as a 1920s speak-easy and features nonticketed burlesque performances.

Lobster Me 2: A second location of Lobster Me has opened in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. The restaurant serves lobster in several variations, along with $5 lobster shooters. The first Lobster Me is in the Miracle Mile mall at Planet Hollywood.
