Michael Fisher had 17 kills to lead two-time defending state champion Hawaii Baptist to an easy sweep over Kauai in the Division II semifinals of the New City Nissan/HHSAA Boys Volleyball State Championships at Moanalua High on Friday.
The scores were 25-13, 25-13, 25-12.

Micah Aweau added six kills for the Eagles, who won state Division II titles in four of the past five seasons. Seabury Hall was the only team to interrupt Hawaii Baptist’s streak by winning in 2010.
Kauai was led by Mikal Moranz with five kills.
In the other semifinal, Pahoa defeated Seabury Hall 25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 25-14. No statistics were available for the match.
