Ko fired a final-round 69 in Taiwan to win by one over Korean professional So Yeon Ryu (73). Top-ranked Inbee Park (70) was third, another shot back. Ko finished at 11-under-par 205 to win in her second professional start.
Hawaii’s Mariel Galdiano, a 15-year-old Punahou sophomore, closed with a 72 and tied for 42nd at 224. Galdiano received an invitation to play in the tournament after winning a Junior World Championship this summer.
