Aloha Aina sets trunk shows
Aloha Aina Boutique will host two free summer trunk shows featuring local designers Friday and Wednesday.
Gillia will present the launch of designer Saori Santos’ Little Gillia line, 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, with a keiki fashion show at 4 p.m. There will be Champagne, desserts by Sweet Temptations and music by DJ Neeks. Shoppers will receive 10 percent off Gillia apparel and can enter to win matching “mommy-and-me” sets.
Tiare Hawaii and Noelani Designs showcase new summer clothing and jewelry collections, 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Wine and treats from Sweet Temptations will be served. Also: music by DJ K-Smooth, prize drawings and a 10 percent discount on purchases.

Lightweight denim to lead trunk show
The Logger’s Daughter, clothing designer Terry Logan, returns from the Pacific Northwest for a semiannual trunk show of island-friendly fashions 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Chelsea boutique in Ward Warehouse.
The event is a benefit for the Hawaiian Humane Society. A 20 percent discount will go to all shoppers who donate five cans of dog food or a 5-pound bag of kibble.
Logan will be showing new lightweight denim and hand-woven cotton jackets in reverse-batik fabric with gingko leaf and mermaid designs, embellished with beach-glass beads. Tunics and knit skirts also will be featured. Call 988-6799.
Vintage wares on sale in Manoa
The Vintage Rose & Friends Sale returns to Wai‘oli Tea Room from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Offered will be treasures from yesteryear, including vintage fashion, hats, linens, lace items, estate jewelry, shabby chic decor, English teacups and Victorian and midcentury wares for home and garden.

YWCA benefit sale offers clothes, more
The YWCA of Oahu Benefit Clothing Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and May 30 will offer bargains on new and used women’s clothing and accessories.
The free event will be held in the Laniakea YWCA lobby, 1040 Richards St. Proceeds will support a YWCA program to help disadvantaged women re-entering the workforce. Call 538-7061.
Surf brands on tap at 2 new businesses
Two "coastal lifestyle" stores opened Tuesday at Turtle Bay Resort:
» North Shore WaterShed sells apparel and shoes for men, women and youths, along with accessories and gifts. Brands include Quiksilver Waterman Collection, L-Space and Miko Swimwear, Vans, Volcom, RVCA, Olu Kai, Maui Jim and Turtle Bay surf wear.
The shop also houses a Lab by GoPro offering GoPro cameras and accessories and a staff-supported editing and uploading suite.
Plus, an events desk provides connections to ocean activities and special events. The store shares a new outdoor deck with the Hans Hedemann Surf School.
Other features of North Shore WaterShed are locally made custom fixtures, many created from re-purposed material, and a display of Martin guitars, ukulele and products.
