A 56-year-old Honolulu woman was pronounced dead after she and her SUV fell 150 feet over a cliff in Nuuanu.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 56-year-old woman who was killed this morning after her car veered off a dead-end road in Nuuanu and ended up in Nuuanu Stream as Betty V. Cabasag.

An autopsy will be performed today to determine the exact cause of death.

Cabasag lived in Liliha less than a mile from the accident site.

Firefighters used hydraulic tools to free the victim, who was trapped in her car that ended up in the stream at the end of 55 S. Judd St. just after 5 a.m.

The driver apparently rammed a steel barrier and the end of the road and went down a ravine.
