HPU soccer teams play to 2 draws
Hawaii Pacific’s Alejandro Porras and Heimana Chene scored in the first 19 minutes, but it wasn’t enough as the Sea Warriors settled for a 2-2 men’s soccer tie against Dominican (Calif.) on Sunday in Kaneohe.
HPU (7-6-3, 6-3-3 Pacific West Conference) outshot Dominican (8-7-1, 4-7-1) 24-11, including a 9-6 advantage in shots on goal.
» Liana Gualdarama scored the equalizer in the 81st minute as Hawaii Pacific came from behind to earn a 2-2 women’s soccer draw against Dominican in Kaneohe.
Gualdarama recorded both goals for HPU (6-7-3, 5-4-3), and Lauren Gollnick netted the goals for Dominican (7-6-2, 6-4-2).
Hawaii basketball tickets on sale today
Individual game ticket sales for the 2012-13 University of Hawaii men’s and women’s basketball season go on sale today. Tickets can be purchased online, at the Stan Sheriff Center box office, Rainbowtique Ward Centre or by calling 944-2697.
The box office is open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The men open up the first of a 20-game home slate with a Friday exhibition against Hawaii Pacific, and the women begin their 21-game home season on Nov. 16 with the Jack in the Box Rainbow Wahine Classic against Tennessee-Martin.
UH students with school identification receive free admission to all homes games except for the Diamond Head Classic, Dec. 22-23 and 25.
