Man chokes woman into unconsciousness
Police arrested a 24-year-old Waipahu man who allegedly choked his girlfriend Friday until she fell unconscious.
Police said the man and the 27-year-old woman argued when he allegedly damaged her property, then allegedly choked her, causing her to lose consciousness at about 8 p.m. Friday, police said.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested the man at 10:50 p.m. Friday on suspicion of felony abuse of a household member and second-degree criminal property damage.
Suspect steals from hotel guest, police say
Police arrested a 22-year-old woman who allegedly stole money from the Waikiki hotel room of a man while he was taking a shower at 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Police said the man was taking a shower before he was to have received a massage from the woman, whom he met in front of the Princess Kaiulani Hotel.
That’s when she allegedly stole money from a bag inside the hotel room belonging to the man’s 38-year-old male roommate.
Police arrested the woman on suspicion of first-degree theft.
Sketch depicts alleged stabber of bicyclist
Honolulu police have released a sketch of a man suspected of stabbing a bicyclist on Tantalus Drive on Oct. 9.
Police said the victim was riding his bicycle on Tantalus Drive at about 5:15 p.m. when he observed a man standing by a red Honda parked on the side of the road. As the victim rode past, the suspect stabbed him in the lower abdomen, then ran back to his vehicle and fled down the road.
The suspect, who is wanted on suspicion of second-degree assault, is described as 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 220 pounds, with a shaved head. He was wearing a gray shirt and black pants at the time of the attack.
