Second case of flashing reported at UH
University of Hawaii campus security is investigating the second indecent exposure incident in less than a week at Manoa.
The latest incident was reported on lower campus about 10:10 a.m. Saturday, according to campus security’s website.
The suspect was described as having a slim build, with a mustache and beard, and short, brown-blond, wavy hair. He is in his early 20s, between 120 to 140 pounds, and about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall.
The suspect was wearing sunglasses, blue jeans and a dark blue, short-sleeved dress shirt.
The first incident happened near Ching Field on lower campus about 4:10 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect in that incident had blond hair and was wearing a blue flannel shirt, brown pants and glasses.
Campus security said in both cases officers checked the areas, but couldn’t find any suspects. Call campus security at 956-6911 or police with any information.
H-1 collision snarls traffic near Waikele
A school bus and a pickup truck collided in the Ewa-bound lanes of the H-1 freeway near the Waikele offramp Saturday, clogging traffic.
There were no critical injuries, according to police.
The crash occurred about 10 a.m. Police said the driver was the only person on the bus at the time.
The Ewa-bound lanes were closed during the investigation and reopened about noon.
McCully woman allegedly threatens worker
A 35-year-old McCully woman was charged Friday after she threatened a Department of Education worker, police said.
The woman posted $500 bail after being charged with first-degree terroristic threatening and harassment.
Police said the woman threatened a 45-year-old man with a dangerous instrument shortly before 1 p.m. Friday. Shortly afterward, officers arrested the woman at her Philip Street home across the street from Washington Middle School.
Woman charged in Kapahulu assault case
A 52-year-old woman was charged Friday with assaulting a man who was sitting in his vehicle earlier this month in Kapahulu, police said.
On Nov. 4, the woman approached the man and began arguing with him. The woman opened the man’s vehicle and struck him in the face and chest, police said.
Police located and arrested the woman about 1:20 p.m. Friday. She was charged with misdemeanor abuse and her bail was set at $1,000.
