Note: Some programs offer discounts for members; prices listed are for the general public. Classes and programs may be closed due to the observance of Kamehameha Day on June 11 and Independence Day on July 3 (since July 4 is a Saturday).
Archery Summer Day Camp: Weekly day camps will be offered during the weeks of June 8, July 6 and July 20, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., YWCA Camp Kokokahi in Kaneohe. Drop-off from 8 a.m. and pickup by 5 p.m. Participants ages 8 to 14 learn about safe archery, participate in games and field archery, create make-and-take bows and arrows, and watch archery videos. Assets School: Ke Kula Pa‘ani Summer Camp at One Ohana Nui Way offers weekly programs June 8 through July 17 with activities such as sports, art, a game room, weekly outings and more for kids in kindergarten though eighth grade. Full-day program runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $300 per week; half-day program from 12:30 to 4 p.m. costs $150 per week. The Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii — Spalding Clubhouse: Program runs June 8 through July 24, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1704 Waiola St. (next to Washington Middle School). Program highlights include an e-reader program, theater and digital media production, sports, field trips and more. CARE (Connecting And Reinforcing Education) Academy Summer 2015: June 10 through July 15, 8 a.m. to noon, Wilson Elementary School; drop-off available from 7 a.m. Program offers math and language arts enrichment, and specialty programs such as music, STEM explorations, basic practical arts, film-study exploration, art, food science and geography (subject to change). City and County of Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation’s Summer Fun Program: Begins June 12 (start and end dates vary by site) weekdays at more than 60 sites for keiki in kindergarten (age 5 before Jan. 1) through sixth grade (13 years old who have not entered seventh grade), with arts and crafts, sports, games, excursions, special events, drama, Hawaiiana and more. » MTE for Teens (for ages 12 to 18), June 8 through July 24, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., with Tech Week July 20-24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and final performance July 25. Students get training in acting, singing and dancing with opportunities to learn from guest artists. No experience necessary. Cost: $650.
» MTE II (for experienced students ages 7 to 16), Aug. 3-14, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a final performance Aug. 15. In this intensive course, students expand their knowledge of musical theatre and refine their talents. Previous performance experience required. Cost: $420.
The Green House "Summer EcoExplorer Camp": Two camps, June 8 through July 3 and Aug. 3-20, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 224 Pakohana St., Pauoa; optional after-care available at nearby Booth District Park until 4:30 p.m. (additional $10 per day or $50 per week). Hawaii Academy: May 26 through July 31, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 1314 Moonui St. (Kalihi gym). Fun-filled active and educational experience includes academic enrichment in basic math and reading comprehension, science experiments, arts and crafts, cooking lessons, movies and study hall, with daily gymnastics and trampoline instruction to help increase general and sport-specific fitness levels. » Preschool Discovery Camp: May 25 through Aug. 21, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; courtesy drop-off begins 8:30 a.m. with optional after-camp care until 4 p.m. ($20 per week). Hawaii Nature Center: "Summer SNAP (Sensational Nature Adventure Program) 2015," June 1 through Aug. 14, 2131 Makiki Heights Drive. Hours are 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, with optional extended care until 5 p.m. Eleven one-week sessions include forest hikes, stream investigations, crafts, beach explorations, field trips (two per week) and more. » Animation: July 20-24, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Learn principles and techniques using industry-standard cameras and editing software.
» Basic Reel: June 15-20, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Learn about storytelling, storyboarding, scriptwriting, lighting, audio, editing and using a professional camera while working in small teams to produce a short video.
» Making Media That Matters: June 22 through July 30, Mondays and Thursdays, 1:30 to 4 p.m. Filmmaking program focuses on films for civic engagement and social injustice.
Hawaii Youth Symphony: "Summer Strings," June 8 through July 10, 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. for beginners and 4 to 5 p.m. for intermediates (with one-year experience), Boys & Girls Club, Spalding Clubhouse, 1704 Waiola St., second floor. Offers classes in violin, viola, cello or bass. Enrollees must be born on or before June 1, 2007. Cost: $235. Instrument rentals at additional costs ranging from $45 to $60. Register by May 29. Students explore various media such as drawing, painting, sculpting and textiles, with films and tours of galleries and gardens to supplement lessons. For second- through fourth-graders. » Summer Art Intensive: June 9 through July 15, Tuesdays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. For students in fourth through 12th grades. Students create their own all-day program by selecting three classes (choose from courses such as cartooning, ceramics, mixed-media sculpture, drawing and painting, and exploring art). Cost: $840.
» Art Camp at Art School: June 8 through July 15, weekdays, 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Includes classes in drawing, painting, clay, sculpture and printmaking, with tours and sketching sessions in the museum galleries and a 30-minute recess. » The ‘Tween Scene: "Journey Beyond Story," for ages 10 to 13, enables students to create a dramatic adventure by bringing it to life.

» Camp Menehune ($290 per week) is for ages 4 and 5 and offers educational animal tours, exclusive visits to animal exhibits and animal-themed crafts.
» Camp ‘Imi Loa ($300 per week) is for ages 6 to 8 and offers the same as above, in addition to classroom lessons and discussions, lawn games and educational videos.
» Camp Wildlife Koas ($300 per week), for ages 9 to 11, is filled with enrichment/encounter activities and multimedia presentations while learning about animal endangerment and starting a wildlife conservation project.
"I Got Skills" soccer camps: Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with drop-off from 8:30 a.m. and pickup until 3:30 p.m. Camps focus on footwork, techniques and moves while players improve skills and build confidence with the ball. Beginning players work on fundamentals and ball mastery; elite players work on advanced skills training. Must wear cleats and shin guards and bring a soccer ball, water bottle and home lunch. » Junior Lifeguard Program: Weekly sessions for ages 13 to 17 (must possess basic ocean swimming ability), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 8 through July 24. Location rotates between Ala Moana, Kalama, Makaha and Malaekahana (Kahuku section) beach parks. Participants learn about ocean safety, CPR, first aid, surf rescue techniques and more, and take part in ocean skills and physical and competitive training. Bring lunch. Cost: $100 per week. Pearl City Foundation: "Summer Fun Days 2015," 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 4 through July 28, with half-day option from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Momilani Community Center, 715 Hoomoana St. Includes academics, sports and fitness activities, dance, games, arts and crafts, cooking, pool time, weekly field trips and an end-of-summer celebration. » "Lil’ Ones": One-week session, June 1-5, 3 to 5 p.m. Keiki ages 5 to 10 are introduced to musical theater. Cost: $175.
» "First Act": June 8 through July 3, 9 a.m. to noon. Classes will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for the first three weeks, and daily for the final week. Students ages 6 to 12 receive training in vocals, acting and dance, and participate in a culminating performance July 3 at 6 p.m. Cost is $425.
» "Encore": High School Musical, One Act Edition, is a five-week session that focuses on acting, vocals and dance for students ages 13 to 17. Runs June 8 through July 10, 1 to 4 p.m. Classes will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for the first four weeks, and daily for the final week. Culminates with a final performance July 10 at 7 p.m. Cost: $500.
Skate Care Hawaii Summer Camps: Weekly skateboarding clinics for beginners ($320) and intermediate/advanced ($285), June 15 through Aug. 14, Hickam Skate Facility. Consists of three hours of group instruction and two hours of free skate daily. Participants learn proper techniques with trained professionals. » Rainbow Wahine Youth/Intermediate Soccer Camps: Two camps, June 15-18 and July 13-16, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., UH soccer practice field. Youth camps emphasize basic soccer skills and techniques, while intermediates are challenged to learn advanced skills and tactics while performing in pressure situations. For boys and girls ages 6 to 14. Players receive a T-shirt. Cost: $150 each.
» Soccer College ID Camp: Three-day camp experience, July 10 from 4 to 7 p.m.; July 11 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. and 2 to 4:30 p.m.; and July 12 from 8 to 11 a.m., UH soccer practice field. » Rainbow Wahine Softball Camps: Girls entering kindergarten through 12th grade learn basic fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing and base running at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

– Session Two (pitching only): June 13, 9 to 10:30 a.m. for seventh- through 12th-graders; and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for kindergarten through sixth grades. Cost: $35.

» Swim Camp: Three camps, June 1-4, 8-11 and 15-18, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Center, UH campus. For ages 7 to 17 with competitive swim experience and capability to swim at least 50 yards in all four competitive strokes (fly, back, breast and freestyle). Learn proper stroke techniques, starts and turns, and receive individualized attention and video analysis. Cost: $350 per week, or $275 for early registration by April 30.
» Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Camp: Four camps, June 16-19 and July 17-20, 21-24 and 27-30, 1 to 5 p.m., Stan Sheriff Center, gyms 1 and 2, and Klum Gym. For boys and girls entering fourth through 12th grade of all skill levels. Cost: $175.
