Murder suspect must undergo mental exam
A Kauai man accused of throwing a Japanese visitor off a cliff in Kalalau Valley has been ordered to undergo a mental examination to determine whether he is fit to stand trial.

A hearing on the results is scheduled for June 19.

Klein’s sister had said Klein and Ino, 31, of Fukuoka prefecture, had a romantic relationship.
A grand jury indicted him on a charge of second-degree attempted murder. His trial is set to begin Aug. 5.
