Social worker who died after collapsing at OCCC ID’d
The Medical Examiner’s office has identified the 44-year-old social worker who collapsed Friday at the Oahu Community Correctional Center and later died as Malcolm Lee Jr. of Kaneohe.
An autopsy will be conducted today to determine the cause of death.
Lee collapsed at about 11:25 a.m. Friday at the Kalihi prison, the Department of Public Safety reported.
Prison officials said preliminary reports indicated he suffered a "cardiac event."
