Puna police investigate burglary, arson at Verna’s Drive-In
Police on Hawaii island suspect burglary and arson after a fire caused $20,000 in property damage to Verna’s Drive-In in Mountain View.
Puna police said they responded to a 2:15 a.m. call Thursday for a fire at the restaurant off Highway 11, and found the front door open and extinguished a small fire burning inside. The fire was determined to be of a suspicious nature, and the owner of Verna’s said items were missing.
