Navy guided-missile frigate to be decommissioned
The USS Crommelin will be decommissioned after 30 years of distinguished service in a ceremony today at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
The guided-missile frigate was the first ship of its kind to successfully engage a high-speed target with missiles and completed several counternarcotics deployments in the Persian Gulf, according to the Navy.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and can be viewed live at www.livestream.com/usnavy.
