Motorcycle crash injures 2 on Kauai
Two people were injured Wednesday on Kauai when the motorcycle they were riding rear-ended a Nissan sedan.
The crash took place at about 2:40 p.m. on Kuhio Highway near the Hokualele junction in Anahola, according to a Kauai Police Department news release. Both motorcycle riders, a 51-year-old man and his 41-year-old passenger, were transported to Wilcox Hospital with serious injuries, the release stated. Two people in the Nissan, a man and a woman, were uninjured.
Motorcyclist loses control, hits pavement
Paramedics transported a 33-year-old woman to an Oahu hospital in serious but stable condition Wednesday afternoon after she lost control of her motorcycle near Hanauma Bay and hit the pavement, according to Emergency Medical Services officials.
The incident took place at about 4:50 p.m. on Kalanianaole Highway, said Shayne Enright, spokeswoman for Emergency Medical Services.
Assault victims suffer head injuries
Two men were seriously injured in separate assaults Tuesday night.
Paramedics took a 40-year-old man to a hospital in serious condition with a head injury after an apparent assault at the North Shore’s Haleiwa Beach Park at about 9:15 p.m., according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
A man in his 60s was also taken to a hospital with a possible head injury after a reported assault at Kakaako Waterfront Park at about 10:25 p.m., according to EMS.
