Maui Land & Pineapple’s losses widen
Maui Land & Pineapple Co. posted a wider loss in the third quarter despite higher revenue.
The Kapalua-based company said Wednesday it lost $1.6 million, or 9 cents a share, compared with a loss of $1.3 million, or 7 cents a share, a year ago.
Revenue rose percent to $3.6 million from $3.4 million.
MLP’s stock jumped 23 cents, or $10.6 percent, to $2.41 on Wednesday. Its financial results were announced after the market closed.
