Thieves allegedly ID’d selves as police
Police are looking for a group of males who allegedly impersonated police officers, kidnapped three people and took several machines in the robbery of a Kalihi gaming establishment early Tuesday morning.
It was the second such robbery in five days.
On Thursday night a group of seven to eight men reportedly robbed a Makiki game room.
Police said eight to 12 males arrived at the Kalihi gaming room at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, identified themselves as law enforcement officers and demanded entry.
The suspects allegedly put two men, ages 24 and 25, and a 49-year-old woman in the bathroom, took money and the 25-year-old man’s cellphone, and fled. They also stole numerous machines, police said.
No suspects were arrested.
