Sleep over at the Smithsonian
WASHINGTON » A "Night at the Museum" will be a reality for students at the Smithsonian this summer.
The Smithsonian Associates will host Smithsonian Sleepovers at the National Museum of American History and National Museum of Natural History. The program is for children ages 8 to 12 and their chaperones.
The Smithsonian says they will explore the exhibit halls at night while solving a mystery through an interactive game and watching a film.
Smithsonian Sleepovers will be held at the American history museum May 9, June 20, July 18 and Aug. 1 and 15. The natural history museum will host sleepovers May 17, June 14 and 28, July 12 and 26, Aug. 8 and 22.

38 performances honor the Bard
ST. LOUIS » A five-day celebration of English playwright William Shakespeare begins Wednesday in St. Louis with the first of 38 free performances at 38 different venues across town.
"Shake 38 Live" opens with a 10 a.m. outdoor reading of the Bard’s "King John" at Tower Grove Park. The official kickoff happens later Wednesday with a 6 p.m. performance of "Love’s Labor Lost" accompanied by a live orchestra at the Shakespeare Festival St. Louis headquarters. Other performances and readings take place at libraries, restaurants, coffeehouses and city parks.
The organization will also present free performances of "Henry IV" and "Henry V" in Forest Park starting in May.
Springsteen exhibit set to open
TULSA, Okla. » The Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa is planning to debut a new exhibit featuring photographs of legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen.
Tuesday’s unveiling of the exhibit "Bruce Springsteen: A Photographic Journey" also includes a discussion with the featured photographers that will be moderated by Grammy Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli.
Admission is $25, and proceeds will benefit education programs at the center.
