Youth sports head trauma in spotlight

A live discussion on head trauma in youth sports will be held today at 8 p.m. on the show "Insights on PBS Hawaii" on Ch. 10.

The topic is specifically about kids’ participation levels in sports being influenced by possible effects of head trauma.

PBS says that during the 2010-12 Hawaii school years, 930 student-athletes reported concussions — nearly half from football.
