OUT OF LUCK IN OSAKA | If only the Ka‘apuni Cafe had been open last month on the day Vincent and Maribel Fragomene of Makakilo discovered the little patch of home on the frigid streets of Osaka, Japan. They would have welcomed the warmth, said Maribel. “We would have gone in for drinks and pupus because it was very cold outside,” she said. A passer-by took their photo before they headed off to the airport for the flight home.
