As Van’s Triple Crown competitions continue along Oahu’s North Shore, Surfer Magazine’s annual Surfer Poll awards ceremony draws many of the sport’s top performers to Turtle Bay to cheer on their peers.

The Surfer Poll awards will be broadcast live from Oahu’s North Shore on Saturday, at an invitation-only event.

Surfer will name its picks for surfing’s Top 10 Men and Top 5 Women, as well as A.I. Breakthrough Performer, in honor of Andy Irons, and an Agent of Change.

Last year readers chose Kelly Slater for top men’s wave rider for a 19th year. Kauai’s Alana Blan­chard pulled into the top women’s slot for the first time.

Awards in most categories are based on films and shorts produced in the previous calendar year.

The Worst Wipeout award is based on voting online that ended Sunday.
