27 OHA candidates file papers, 1 does not
All but one of the 28 candidates running for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs filed their financial disclosure statements with the Hawaii State Ethics Commission by the Oct. 17 deadline.
The candidate who failed to do so, Glenn G. Au, will be assessed a penalty of $25, according to a news release from the commission, which is required by law to make public the names of those who miss the deadline.
The commission is posting all candidates’ financial disclosure statements on its website. Once that is complete, the public may see them at hawaii.gov/ethics.
Meanwhile, the documents are available for public inspection at the Ethics Commission office at 1001 Bishop St., American Savings Bank Tower, Suite 970.
Candidates are required by state law to file financial disclosures that include information about their sources of income, business ownership, debts, real property and positions held in businesses.
