A Board of Regents report on what went wrong in the failed Stevie Wonder concert is not ready and will not be presented today, a regent on the board task group said.

"They (the group) tried their best, but it’s not finished yet," said regent’s vice chairman James Lee, 

Board Chairman Eric Martinson created the group after the UH Manoa Athletic Department lost $200,000 in an apparent Stevie Wonder concert scam.

The group had been scheduled to present its findings at a board meeting today at 11 a.m.

The task group is made up of five regents and four accounting and business professionals. It also hired the accounting firm of KMH LLP, under a $50,000 contract, to look at the accounting procedures and controls at the athletic department and UH system to see if procedures were violated and to see if changes need to be made to prevent a similar incident from happening in the future.

Task force members are: James H. Q. Lee, vice chairman of the Board of Regents and chairman of the Committee on University Audits; Barry Mizuno, regent and vice chairman of the Committee on University Audits; Saedene Ota, regent and member of the Committee on University Audits; Jan Sullivan, regent and member of the Committee on University Audit; Benjamin Kudo, regent; Lawrence Rodriguez, business consultant; Terri Fujii, managing partner, Honolulu office of Ernst & Young LLP; Patrick Oki, managing partner, PKF Pacific Hawaii LLP; and Cory Kubota, Assurance Principal, Accuity LLP.
