Faculty housing burglarized at UH
The University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Department of Public Safety is seeking information about a burglary at the Kau‘iokahaloa Nui Apartments faculty housing complex Monday morning.
The burglary, involving an unoccupied apartment, occurred between 7:45 and 11:45 a.m., the university reported.
It was the second burglary of a UH faculty housing unit in less than a week.
On Nov. 25 a burglary was reported at the Kau‘iokahaloa Iki Condominiums.
Both housing complexes are on Lowrey Avenue in Manoa Valley.
No suspects have been identified in either incident.

Man who died after being found in lot ID’d
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 68-year-old homeless man who was found unconscious in a van in an Ala Moana Boulevard parking lot as Wayne Kuikahi.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death. Police have classified the case as an unattended death. No foul play is suspected.
Police said the victim was found unconscious in a van just after 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Paramedics took him to the hospital, where he died Sunday.
