Shark warning signs posted in Haleiwa
An 8-foot long, nonaggressive shark was spotted Tuesday at a surfbreak at Alii Beach in Haleiwa.
At about 12:20 p.m., surfers spotted the shark roughly 150 yards offshore, according to Shayne Enright, spokeswoman for the Ocean Safety and Lifeguard Services Division.
Lifeguards posted signs warning the public about the shark sighting.
