The Pearl Harbor-based guided destroyer USS O’Kane made a port stop in Goa, India, last week, the Pacific Fleet announced.
“This port visit is a great opportunity to interact with our counterparts in the Indian navy, as well as an excellent opportunity to enjoy the culture and heritage of the country,” Cmdr. James Juster, O’Kane’s commanding officer, said in a statement.
The Arleigh Burke-class warship left Pearl Harbor on March 7 on a scheduled deployment to the western Pacific, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea.
