Miss Kakaako Jeanne Kapela was crowned Miss Hawaii 2015 at the Hawai’i Convention Center on Saturday.

Originally from Kailua-Kona, Kapela is the daughter of Keahi Kapela and Clifford Gaspar and attends Kapiolani Community College. 

In addition to the Miss Hawaii crown, Kapela also won the scholarship pageant’s Swimsuit Award and Talent Award.

Miss Paradise Kauai Sarah Manuel was named first runner-up, followed by second runner-up Miss North Shore Keala Patterson and third runner-up Miss East Oahu Hali’alani Parish. Miss Kahala Alexandra Roth was fourth runner-up.

Miss Chinatown Hawaii Stephanie Wang was the big winner on the scholarship front, taking home the Miss Hawaii Golf Tournament Scholarship and Miss America Excellence in Community Service Scholarship in addition to Miss Congeniality and Most Photogenic. She also won a Las Vegas vacation for the most pageant tickets sold.
