Police arrested six teenagers Thursday for separate incidents at two Oahu schools.

Officers arrested a 16-year-old boy shortly after noon Thursday on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.

The boy is accused of threatening a 61-year-old woman, an educational worker in Kaimuki.

In Nanakuli, police arrested five 17-year-old boys for allegedly stealing computers from a classroom in Nanakuli on May 18. All the computers were recovered, police said. The suspects were arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft.

All six suspects were released pending further investigation.

Human fetus found at Kahului wastewater plant

A human fetus, whose gender could not be determined by Maui authorities, is believed to have been flushed into the island’s sewer system and was found at the Kahului Wastewater Plant last week, police said Friday.

Maui police said a sanitation worker found the fetus, about 7 inches long, at 1:13 p.m. May 22 in the wastewater catchment receptacle.

Maui’s medical examiner could not conduct an autopsy due to the fetus’ size.

However, the medical examiner determined the fetus could not have survived outside of the womb. Its presence at the wastewater facility was most likely the result of a miscarriage being flushed into the sewage system, officials said.

Police and the county prosecutor classified the case as noncriminal.

Inmate who fled work furlough back in prison

Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate Daniel Seyler is back behind bars after being on the loose for several hours.

Police arrested Seyler at 5:10 p.m. Thursday in the Pearl City area. He left the Laumaka Work Furlough Center at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday to go to work, but didn’t return as scheduled at 10:30 p.m.

Seyler is serving time for second-degree assault and failing to update his status on the sexual offender registration to reflect his assault conviction.

His next parole hearing is scheduled for September. He could be charged with escape, which might add time to his sentence.
