Brush fire on Molokai scorches an acre
A fire scorched an acre of brush and grass on Molokai Friday afternoon.
Firefighters said they were called to a brushfire near Hoolehua airport at 12:47 p.m. The fire was extinguished by 2:55 p.m.
The fire, on residential property, was determined to be accidental and was caused when remnants from an agricultural fire ignited nearby grass, Maui officials said in a press release.
