A man charged with fatally stabbing a homeless man in Kailua is scheduled for trial next week in a separate case of allegedly exposing himself to a woman.
Robert Roediger-Geauque was extradited to Hawaii after his arrest in Santa Barbara, Calif., on March 6 to face a murder charge in connection with the Jan. 13 death of Scott MacMillian.
Roediger-Geauque is scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in Kaneohe District Court on a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree sexual assault in connection with an incident that occurred July 24. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday to the sexual assault charge.
Roediger-Geauque, 31, remains at the Oahu Community Correctional Center, unable to post $5 million bond on the murder charge.
Roediger-Geauque, who has no local address, is also scheduled to enter a plea Monday in Circuit Court on the murder charge.
He was indicted March 11 by an Oahu grand jury in MacMillian’s slaying but fled to California before he could be served with an arrest warrant. He was extradited to Hawaii on Saturday.
He made his initial Honolulu District Court appearance Monday, where his murder case was referred to Circuit Court.
Roediger-Geauque’s criminal record includes convictions on Maui for two petty misdemeanors for disorderly conduct and prohibited operation of car and a misdemeanor conviction for driving while his license was suspended.
