Hawaii island police are asking the public’s help in identifying suspects who, in two separate cases, were caught on camera during burglaries in Kai­lua-Kona and Wai­ko­loa.

In the first incident, two people forcibly entered a convenience store at a gas station at Hua­la­lai Road and Kua­kini Highway and removed tobacco products, lighters and sandwiches.

The break-in occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Oct. 5 and 5:30 a.m. Oct. 6. The value of the items taken was $855.

On Feb. 2 a surveillance photo recorded the image of a suspect who entered a home on the 68-3500 block of Makua­hine Street and took two cellphones valued together at $900.
