Keiki hula set for next month on Valley Isle

The 22nd Hula o na Keiki, a children’s hula competition, will take place Nov. 9-11 at Kaa­napali Beach Hotel. Children 5 to 17 years old will compete as soloists and as boy-girl pairs.

Nearly $17,000 will be awarded in cash and prizes, organizers said.

Festivities that weekend at the hotel also include arts and crafts, cultural and hula workshops, canoe rides by Hui o Waa Kau­lua and Hawaiian entertainment.
