The Lutheran Church of Hono­lulu will celebrate on May 24 the 40th anniversary of its organ, which was made by master organ builder Rudolf von Beckerath.

The event will take place at 5 p.m. in the church’s sanctuary at 1730 Punahou St.

Joey Fala, a noted concert organist who long studied under church organist Katherine Crosier, will perform works by Bach, Reger, Wammes and Demessieux. This summer, Fala be the featured artist at the Organ Historical Society’s national convention in Springfield, Mass.

Admission is free; donations accepted. Toursof the organ chamberwill be given after the program, followed by a reception. For more details, call 941-2566.
