Honolulu police Maj. Kurt Kendro presents a candle in memory of officer Troy Barboza. Barboza was killed in 1987 at age 24 by a man he had arrested for buying crack cocaine. Kendro was Barboza’s classmate in HPD’s 92nd recruit class.
