Fire causes $100,000 damage to Kauai house
Fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to a Kilauea home and its contents Tuesday afternoon.
No one was home at the time of the 3:45 p.m. blaze.
The fire broke out sometime before 3:45 p.m. at a single-story home on Kahiliholo Road.
Firefighters were on scene in 15 minutes, brought the blaze under control by 4:23 p.m. and extinguished it at 5:36 p.m., a county news release said.
