Kelsie Hee fell a double short of the cycle as St. Francis toppled Kaiser 9-4 in the opening round of the DataHouse/HHSAA State Softball Division II Championships on Tuesday at Maui High School’s Patsy Mink Field.
Hee singled to center in the first inning, hit an RBI triple in the second and blasted a two-run homer in the fourth. In the sixth, the Saints’ senior catcher hit a sacrifice fly to right.
With the win, St. Francis advances to a quarterfinal matchup with fourth-seeded Molokai today at 7 p.m.
