Big Isle police find suspected stalker after car chase
A car chase Tuesday on Hawaii island led police to an alleged stalker, police announced today.
Police charged a 55-year-old Kamuela man on Tuesday with reckless driving, possessing drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and five other offenses following the car chase incident, according to a news release.
The man is also believed to be involved in a harassment by stalking incident that occurred last week, police said. His other alleged offenses include first-degree criminal property damage, first-degree terroristic threatening, harassment by stalking, second-degree reckless endangering and promoting a dangerous drug.
Police said the man was released from the Kona police cellblock Wednesday after he posted $14,750 bail.
