Public comment sought for condo project
A state agency is soliciting more public comment on a proposed midrise condominium building in Kakaako today and Tuesday. The Hawaii Community Development Authority will hold the feedback sessions on the seven-story condo project called 803 Waimanu proposed for a site next to the existing Imperial Plaza high-rise.
The sessions will be in the agency’s office conference room at 461 Cooke St. at 10 a.m. today and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. An initial public hearing was held last month. A second public hearing followed by an HCDA board vote is set for Jan. 8 at noon in HCDA’s conference room.

Kaiser Permanente has announced the addition of two new providers who will practice at the Waipio Medical Office:
>>Dr. Corilyn Pang, a specialist in family medicine, completed her residency in family medicine and fellowship sports medicine at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Ill.
>>Amanda Lawry, CNM, a specialist in midwifery. She was previously a certified nurse-midwife in the U.S. Air Force.
Hawaiian Ocean Transport has hired Julian Velez as its new business development manager. He was previously a solutions specialist and sales manager for Old Dominion Freight Line.
